How I Spent My Summer pt. 3

Margo, the mother of the groom commissioned me to make a piece for her to wear to her son's wedding.  I ended up making a piece for her two daughters as well.  The colors for this wedding were crimson, black and crystal.

This was Alyssa's piece  designed to be worn like the Carmen with a low side chignon.  She wanted a simple hydrangea and that was that, we toyed with adding feathers or leaves but in the end we were very happy with this simple flower.

Deirdre wanted a headband and a hint of a birdcage veil with satin flowers.
Margo's was my favorite.  She wanted a silk flower but with a slightly lower profile than the roses I use for grandes.  As I was looking for smaller roses I found these AMAZING red and black pheasant feathers.  A bit of crystal to tie in to the wedding colors and some red and black net and "voila!"  She was a show stopper and she even wore it to church the next morning.
